Strawberries with Balsamic

‘Sweeten’ your strawberries with balsamic vinegar, making it suitable for most diets including Diabetic and Low Calorie.

This is the simplest way to enhance the flavour and sweetness of strawberries (and is also good with raspberries and blackberries). It is a delicious dessert that requires no advance planning and minimal time to prepare.

Diets for which Strawberries with Balsamic are suitable:

Dairy Free, Diabetic, Fodmap, Gluten Free, Low Calorie, Low Fat, Nut Free, Paleo, Raw, Vegan and Vegetarian.


Preparation: 10 mins | Serves: 2

2 cups strawberries*
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar


WASH the strawberries, remove the stalks and place in a large bowl.
POUR over the balsamic vinegar, gently fold it through the fruit and rest for 10 minutes. (Do not prepare too far in advance as the berries will wilt like lettuce in the vinegar.)


– Alone, they require nothing extra.


* Substitute with raspberries or blackberries (not for Fodmap diet).
