Seasons Greetings

With the festive season upon us here is a small selection of recipes for tasty, simple canapes. 

With a multitude of things to do, places to go and people to see, at this time of year, preparing healthy canapes and snacks may not be top of your ‘to do’ list. The recipes below illustrate healthy and simple can go together even at festive time. (More recipes on my website listed under Canapes  andFestive Food.)

Beetroot Blinis  – vegetable blini, the colour of the season;Beetroot Blinis-image

Padron Peppers – small pan fried peppers with a subtle flavour;

Spiced Nuts – lightly spiced and roasted nuts;

Mushrooms with CorianderMillet Burgers – these burgers also make delicious little canapés;

Mushrooms with Coriander – a canapé or salad;

Dates with Coconut – a sweet treat that cane resisted by few.
